I was pleased to work with Nimesh and Angela on the successful relocation of Spennymoor Post Office.
When it became clear that the post office needed to move from its existing premises, it was important that Spennymoor did not lose this vital local service. The post office plays an essential role for residents, businesses and community groups, providing access to key services close to home.
To help make the relocation possible, I worked to secure additional funding to support the move into the former Lloyds Bank building on the high street. This investment helped ensure the post office could remain in a central and accessible location, continuing to serve local people while bringing a prominent building back into use.
The relocation secures the future of an important community asset and ensures that Spennymoor Post Office remains at the heart of the town for years to come.
