A brilliant visit to Vane Road Primary School in Newton Aycliffe this morning.
It was a real pleasure to spend time with pupils, talking about Parliament and my role as our MP and answering their thoughtful questions about how decisions are made and how I represent our community.
I was especially impressed by the enthusiasm and confidence of the students. They asked some excellent questions and shared insightful ideas about the future of our town, particularly the school’s Young Leaders, who are already showing a strong commitment to making a positive difference in their community.
Thank you to all the staff for the warm welcome and for the fantastic work they do every day. It’s inspiring to see such engaged and ambitious young people.
