I launched a campaign to tackle the overgrown and unkempt churchyard, bringing together all the relevant agencies and organisations to address a long-standing issue in the community.
I’m pleased that, as part of this ongoing project, we’ve managed to clear some of the worst areas of overgrown vegetation. This marks an important step forward in improving the appearance, accessibility and upkeep of the churchyard.
Thanks to the partnership we have established, Coxhoe Parish Council, with the permission of the Church, has arranged for its contractor to begin clearing the brambles and dense thickets that had built up over time. This collaborative approach has helped get the project moving and deliver visible improvements on the ground.
I would like to thank Coxhoe Parish Council for its support and commitment to the project. Further clearance works are taking placeband work is ongoing to tackle this issue and secure the long-term maintenance and improvement of this important community space.
